Terms of Service
Last updated: September 30, 2026
These Terms are an agreement between you and Veridem Holdings Inc., a Delaware C-Corporation ("we"). By using Compose:EP you agree to them.
What Compose:EP Is
Compose:EP helps you organize songs into an EP or album, sequence the tracklist, build cover-art prompts and images, make Mood Boards and short videos, write scene-by-scene prompts for your own AI video tools, and create a "Handprint" record of your selection and arrangement decisions. A Handprint documents how you compiled and arranged the release — not authorship of the songs themselves.
Accounts and Guest Mode
You can create an account with email, Google, or Apple, or continue as a guest. Guests can use the free tools, but guest work is tied to that browser session and cannot be recovered if the session ends. You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure.
Who Can Use Compose:EP
You must be at least 16 years old to use Compose:EP. If you are under 18 (a minor), you may use Compose:EP only on an account created and managed by a parent or guardian, with their consent. Because signing a Handprint creates a permanent Registry entry that cannot be undone, parents and guardians should review any Handprint with their child before it is signed.
Plans, Billing, and Cancellation
The free plan has usage limits shown on the Pricing page. The Artist plan is a paid subscription billed monthly or yearly through Stripe and renews automatically until you cancel. Label access is by request only. You can cancel any time from Manage billing; your paid features stay on until the end of the period you already paid for, then your account returns to the free plan. Deleting your account cancels any active subscription immediately, with no further charges. If a payment is refunded, paid features end right away. Refunds are not automatic — email us to ask. Prices and limits may change, and we'll tell you before a change affects a renewal.
Your Content
You own your songs, lyrics, images, recordings, and other content you bring to Compose:EP. You give us permission to store and process it only as needed to run the service for you (including sending it to the providers described in our Privacy Policy). You must have the rights to anything you upload.
AI-Generated Output
AI features can be wrong, generic, or similar to other people's output. Review everything before you use it. We don't promise that AI output is original or free of others' rights, and AI-generated material may not be protected by copyright on its own. Cover-art and video prompts are meant for use in third-party tools (Midjourney, Runway, Kling, Veo, and others); we are not affiliated with them and are not responsible for their output, pricing, or terms.
Handprints and the Registry Are Evidence, Not Legal Advice
Handprints, certificates, and Registry entries are an evidence layer: a dated record of what you said you did. They are not legal advice and are not a substitute for registering your work with the U.S. Copyright Office. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, including your legal name, citizenship, and any co-arranger details. Knowingly false statements in a copyright claim can carry liability under 17 U.S.C. §506(e). Talk to a qualified attorney before relying on a Handprint for any legal or business purpose.
Signing a Handprint creates a permanent Registry entry with your signed creator name and the work title. By signing, you agree to that entry being kept permanently, even if you later delete your account.
Co-Arrangers
If you list co-arrangers, you must have their consent to enter their information. We are not responsible for disputes between co-arrangers about splits or credit.
Acceptable Use
Don't upload content you don't have rights to, content that is illegal or abusive, or someone else's personal information without permission. Don't try to get around plan or usage limits, overload the service, access other people's data, or make false authorship claims. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
Third-Party Services
Compose:EP relies on outside services including Stripe (payments), Shotstack (video rendering), Google (AI models), and our hosting provider. Their availability is outside our control.
Disclaimers
Compose:EP is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Keep your own backups — the Locker export is there for that.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Veridem Holdings Inc. is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions made in reliance on a Handprint, certificate, or generated output. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA.
Changes
We may update these Terms as Compose:EP changes and will update the date above. Continuing to use Compose:EP after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
